Ryoku

Ryoku was designed and constructed following a design brief for a restricted amount of wood and an integrated rubber component. The result is a light-weight, minimal wooden construction with a small twist: Ryoku’s backrest is held together by the tension of a cast rubber piece that slots onto the top and is interchangeable.

The interchangeable rubber component becomes a platform for different backrest modules, adaptable in colour and style for users.
