Boga

Boga is a physical manifestation of the Viennese quality of life. Tensioned between floor and ceiling, the sculpture makes use of an entire room height and adds a bit of ornamentation at a height otherwise left empty. The small bird sits at the end of its branch, and when windows are open, gently moves with the breeze. Like a child’s mobile but for adults, the bird pole is an introspective object with a refined, graceful presence.

When mounted indoors, Boga counteracts the stillness of furniture and decoration by responding to a strong breeze or physical touch. The enchanting gentle sway of the bird feels reminiscent of an outdoor movement, when trees move in the wind. If mounted on a terrace or beneath a balcony, the reactivity of the branch increases and becomes a constant dynamic motion, full of variation and organic rhythm.

With its small footprint and large presence, the sculpture is an easy addition to a home environment.

The sculpture works entirely under tension. The branch locks the extenders in place, allowing Boga to fit any ceiling height without technical hardware that would otherwise disturb the gentle flow of the shape.

At the base of the branch, a small worm introduces a quiet note of humour. The understated detail invites a moment of surprise and encourages storytelling — a suggested narrative between the worm below and the bird above.
